vineyard: from different vineyards, age 8-18 years
soil: Calcareous soil (limestone alps) with shell limestone sediments from the primordial ocean (tertiary age). Alluvial gravel and weathered brown soil (Cambisol) with sandy clay.

grape quality: 19° KMW (Klosterneuburger Most Waage)
vinification: Spontaneous alcoholic fermentation with grape skin contact in open vat; daily push down (twice during fermentation); maceration time 10 days post fermentation; spontaneous malolactic fermentation and maturation in traditional large wood barrels (1000-­2000 L) for 12 months.
