Region: Lake Neusiedl, Burgenland
Climate: Continental (pannonian climate), hot summer,
cold winters, average yearly temperature: l0ºC,
Average rainfall: 300-500ml.
Lake Neusiedl, creates a milder climate,
and a prolonged growing season.
Vineyard: Golser Ungerberg, Golser Holzacker, Joiser Greiner
(Wagram- southern slopes of the Parndorfer  Platte)
Soil: Brown loam with chalk
Vintage: By hand
Yield: 45 hl/ha
Maceration of skins: 3-4 weeks
Fermentation: Temperature-controlled tanks (32°C)
Aging: 20 month in barrique barrels 500l (partly new oak)
Malolatic fermentation: Yes
Alcohol: 13.0% vol
Total acidity: 5.3 g/l
Residual sugars: l.0 g/l
Serving temperature: 18 °C
Aging Ability: up to 20 years

Venison, beef, lamb and dark mushrooms

Tasting notes:
Dark ruby red, complex nose, ripe, dark fruits (cherries and berries), spicy and well defined with good structured, delicate balance with long finish
