Region: Neusiedlersee, Burgenland
Climate: continental („pannonian“), hot summer
Vineyard: Vineyards near Lake Neusiedl: Heideboden, Parndorfer Platte, mostly flat (plain)
Soil: sandy loam, partly gravel
Vintage: Harvest and selection by hand, middle of September 2014
Vinification: Biodynamic methods, member of RESPECT.
Spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel tanks
Aged 10 months in 500 liter 4-­?8 year old used Austrian oak.
Maceration time: 3 weeks in a stainless steel after pressing, low sulfur, no fining
Bottling:  Dezember 13th, 2016, 30.000 bottles
Cases: 6x750ml
Alcohol: 12,5% vol
Total acidity: 4,9 g/l
Residual sugars: 1,0 g/l
Serving Temperature: 16 – 18°C

Taste:
Brilliant ruby red, very aromatic and fruity, spicy, cherry aroma, vivacious on the palate, powerful and long finish powerful and long finish
Food:
All round food wine, poultry, vegetables, fish, meats, fried and spicy,
BBQ and pasta dishes
